About the Job
MAG Aerospace is seeking a Field Service Representative (FSR) to support Network Modernization and Mission Network in Augusta, GA.
The FSR will work in a multidiscipline Capabilities Development Lifecycle (CDLC) environment, responsible for configuration maintenance, testing, documentation, packaging, delivery/release, and relationship management with the Government client.
- Receive guidance from the FSR Lead, configuring systems for Mission Network and Network Modernization platforms
- Configures the features and changes required for each quarter of software for the NITE Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) Development Cycle
- Works with and tests equipment and software from multiple vendors: VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Windows and Office Product, RedHat Linux, Riverbed PEP, Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, PacStar IQCore Server and Client, REDCOM Sigma, CISCO Virtual Routers and physical switches, DTECH M3X and SRVR5, Themis XR-6, PowerShell and Wireshark to provide an evaluation of software/hardware versions and updates in terms of capability and network/system impact to determine its interoperability with the existing systems and software
- Install, configure, and administer diverse networking technology and protocols, including H.323, G.711, G.729 for voice networking; OSPF routing; MGRE tunnel routing; and Layer 3 switching. Implement and utilize VMware ESXI to manage virtual machines running a virtual environment, Performance Enhancement Proxy, QOS Edge Device, Windows Server for Active Directory, Palo Alto Firewall, Palo Alto Panorama
- Travel to Fielding Sites to provide on-site systems engineering support to the PdM Mission Network Tactical Network Engineers (TNEs) on the NITE PDSS Software during the loading of equipment during PAT1 and PAT2 operations
- Reconfigures the lab network architecture to support the interconnectivity of the NetMod and Mission Network Lab as well as changing the lab design and networks quarterly to match the architecture of systems being fielded to Army in order to test and evaluate PDSS software deliveries
- Submits Activity Reports to the Senior Systems Engineer
- Provides bugs found during testing to the Senior Systems Engineer. Test and validate upon bugs upon correction from the Software Development Team
- Support, test and evaluate new technologies and perform systems engineering work to determine integration effort, viability, and performance
Requirements:
- In-depth hands-on experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PACSTAR IQ-Core, Wireshark, and other network tools)
- In-depth experience with routing protocols to include, but not limited to, TCP-IP, UDP, OSPF, OSPFv3, VRF, ICMP
- In-depth knowledge of Switching Architecture (VLANs, STP, Port Security, Layer 3)
- In-depth experience and understanding of multiple network products and operating systems (e.g., Juniper JUNOS and vSRX, Cisco catalysts switches, CSR1000v routers, ISR/ASR series routers, IOS XE, NX-OS, Palo Alto firewalls, and PAN-OS)
Education / Certifications
- Education: BS/BA
- Certification: DOD IAT Level II (CCNA, CCNP)
- Experience: 5+ years working DOD/Army networks
Clearance
- SECRET
Desired Requirements
- Proficiency with VMWare ESXi
- Experience with Systems/Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Army tactical communications systems (WIN-T Inc1, Inc2, NITE, baseband, transport, switches, routers, servers, ethernet and fiber optic standards, Network Modernization systems and commercial wireless products used by Army tactical systems)
- Quick learner, creative, analytical thinker, resourceful, and able to work with a team or independently.
