Field Service Technician at IBS of America Corporation

Mechanical Field Service Technician will install, repair, service and provide maintenance of IBS PPG products.  This is concerning the equipment to be repaired in our shop & production facility in Chesapeake, Virginia along with mill site visits mainly in North America (Canada, USA, Mexico).  The may be occasional overseas travel.

• Mechanical Technician with 2 or more year’s field maintenance experience.  (Engineering Technologist considered an asset but not mandatory)

• Hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting is required.

• Capacity to build confidence with our customers – you will be the ‘go-to’ person.

• Maintenance and repair paper industry equipment is an asset. (Training provided)

• Preference and ability to work independently.

• Willing to travel up to 70% of the time.  The norm is 3-4 days travel per trip; occasional trip might be longer and can include a weekend and/or holiday.
