Overview:
We seek a skilled Field Service Technician to support our service team in Broward, West Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties. The Field Service Technician supports multifunctional devices at customers’ locations within an assigned territory. Additional responsibilities include basic connectivity, maintaining parts inventory, meter collection, and escalating unresolved issues.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain assigned territory without customer complaints within the company's response time.
- Follow total equipment maintenance procedures on every call.
- Implement proper usage of parts, tools, test equipment, and storage procedures.
- Repair equipment with minimal recalls or delays.
- Maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Encourage the purchase of maintenance contracts and accessories and pursue sales leads.
- Aid other technicians with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Participate in training and self-study programs to gain and maintain appropriate product knowledge.
- Complete equipment installation according to schedule.
- Communicate with customers, dispatch personnel, and service manager to resolve problems expediently.
- Complete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure accurate billing for contracts and/or services rendered.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in electronics or similar.
- A+ certification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting and repair of assigned equipment.
- 6-12 months experience as a Field Service Technician
- Experience servicing copiers and printers.
- Ricoh, Lexmark, HP, and Konica Minolta
- Computer Networking
- Experience installing copiers and printers on network systems in the field.
- Server operating systems (preferred)
- Apple operating systems (preferred)
Additional skills required:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Understanding of network systems and troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot methodically and efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
Work Environment
- Work in areas that require attention to detail in a varied environment.
- May spend long hours sitting or standing.
- Some physical effort is required, which may involve bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities, as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Frequent walking, standing, and crouching.
- Frequent local driving to customer sites.
