All Fill is looking for an experienced Service Technician to work closely with customers and employees when new machinery arrives at their plant or an existing machine is having issues.
An All-Fill Field Service Technician will spend 40-60% of their time traveling to customer facilities, both nationally and internationally. A Service Tech will work closely with customers to satisfy any needs they may have with All-Fill equipment onsite. When a service tech is not on the road, they have "in-house" responsibilities in All-Fill's facility.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide service and customer support during field visits.
- Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and training.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Fielding service-related phone calls.
- Cooperate with engineering and QC to share information across the organization.
- Assisting assembly department in building machines.
- Programming components for spare parts orders.
- Preparing and running machine FAT.
- Trouble shooting and preparing a newly built machine.
- Integration experience is preferred: Skilled in designing and implementing complex systems by integrating hardware, software, and controls, ensuring seamless functionality. Proficient in architecture, and testing.
- Bridge the gap between design, development, and installation, ensuring that each part of a system (whether it's hardware, software, or a mix of both) works seamlessly with the others.
An All-Fill Field Service Technician must have an in-depth understanding of all All-Fill's product offerings. They must have proper product handling experience, be well-versed with customer relations, have the mechanical and technical knowledge to be able to work on high-end industrial packaging equipment, the physical ability to work on the machines, and the ability to travel to customer's facilities all over the world.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A passport is required for all service technicians as there are occasions where they must travel outside of the United States. A driver's license is required as the technician may need to drive to customer's facility, the airport, and rent a car. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and a degree from a technical college or trade school is preferred. Once a technician is working at All-Fill they will be provided a license to install and modify Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation software.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities other than ensuring that our customer's employees are operating All-Fill's machinery properly and safely when on a service call.
Work Environment:
A Service Technician will be subject to many different work environments over the course of their career. They will be very familiar to All-Fill's manufacturing facility as that's where they will be based out of. They will also be exposed to our customer's facilities, environments, and products. These workplace environments and products include, but are not limited to, industrial sectors within the agricultural, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, and plenty of other industries with packaging needs. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical Demands:
There are plenty of occasions when a service tech will be required to perform heavy lifting on our equipment. They also must be able to endure long hour days at customer facilities, jet lag, and travel both domestically and internationally. A service tech will often be subject to high-stress environments when customers rely on them to help meet their intense production demands and requirements.

- Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols.
- Exposure to varied travel conditions either driving or flying.
- The travel required for this position is 40-60%.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with overtime requirements. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. If a service tech is required to travel, the work hours may vary.
Travel:
Extensive travel is required for this position.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position, while a technical school, trade school, or electrical engineering degree is preferred. 5-7 years of experience in packaging manufacturing or any similar industry is preferred as well.
