Job Description:
We are seeking a Field Service Technician with experience in packaging system manufacturing and assembly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service technician roles and a basic understanding of HMI PLC functionality. This position requires the ability to diagnose technical problems, provide solutions, and work closely with customers in a professional manner. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support for packaging system installations and maintenance
- Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with customers to address service needs and ensure satisfaction
- Utilize MS Office tools for documentation and reporting
- Extensive global travel (approximately 60%) to customer sites for service appointments
- Demonstrate a high level of energy and readiness to tackle challenges
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in packaging system manufacturing and assembly (preferred)
- 3 years of experience as a Service Technician (preferred)
- Basic understanding of HMI PLC functionality
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally with customers
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, action-oriented approach
- Ability to assess next steps and anticipate future tasks
- Willingness to travel up to 60%
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
