Description:
Hours: Monday to Thursday,7:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST.
Friday: Reserved as a make-upday in case of rain or if the worker is absent during the week.
Travel Requirements: Potentialtravel to sites in Mississippi (MS), North Carolina (NC), South Carolina (SC),and Florida (FL). Travel distances may be up to 400 miles from the primarysite.
Candidates must be local tothe primary site.
Candidate will not be driving.

Water Industry Experience:Experience with water valves and hydrants is preferred.

THE ROLE: The Field ServiceTechnician will be responsible for safe, accurate and professionaloperation/maintenance of valves and fire hydrants. You will follow writtenprocedures for assessing, operating, maintaining and testing valves and firehydrants. You will also become familiar with the duties of the Crew Chief inorder to provide advancement opportunities within the organization. In thisrole, the incumbent will also maintain a clean and orderly work siteenvironment to enable safe and efficient movement of workers and motorizedequipment throughout the site.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Toperform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.
Support tool/equipmentassembly and disassembly under supervision, including cleaning tools andequipment
Actively participate in onsitesafety and planning meetings to review safety risks and areas of concern basedon planning documentation and onsite observations
Keeps site clean and free frompotential tripping and safety hazards
Additional duties andresponsibilities may be required based on organizational needs
Secure all items loaded on thetruck for safe over-the-road travel in accordance with Federal Motor CarriersSafety Administration (FMCSA), Federal Department of Transportation and localDepartment of Transportation guidelines.
Assist in securing loadutilizing straps and chains.
Ensure vehicle, yard andloading areas are clear of debris and trash; accessories and equipment areorganized and easy to access.
Follow all safety processesand procedures and maintain a \'Safety First\' approach when completingdaily work tasks.
Complete a Job SafetyAssessment before beginning any job on a customer site.
Ensure compliance with allPersonal Protective Equipment requirements.
Participation in clientWatermark volunteer activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school orgeneral equivalency degree.
Experience in the waterindustry preferred.
Valid driver\'s license withgood driving record.
Ability to work flexible hoursto respond to customer emergencies.
Ability to read, write legiblyand communicate effective with co-workers, supervisors/managers, and customersboth verbally and in writing.
Basic computer skills.
