About the Job
Service frequency (50,60,400Hz) and power conversion (3-phase/single phase) equipment for defense and aerospace or marine products. Troubleshoot, perform, suggest and expedite service requests and duties as assigned, to achieve superior customer satisfaction. Refer possible sales leads to Sales management.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer calls and emails regarding technical inquiries.
- Travel to and from customer locations, coordinating travel arrangements with management and support staff.
- Prepare parts for delivery and maintain communication with the department manager while in the field.
- Perform troubleshooting, start-up, and repair of units in the field or factory.
- Train customers on the safety and operation of units.
- Keep detailed records of both customer and internal service calls.
- Maintain strong customer relationships concerning service or modification needs.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to address service-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Two years electrical experience in 3-phase power systems
- Able to read schematics for troubleshooting
- Must be flexible, and able to travel without prior notice
- Must be fluent in English, and have good communication, written, and computer skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and U.S. Passport
- Must be highly safety conscientious
- Up to 50% travel both domestic, and international
- Occasional overtime both in-house, and while traveling
- Be willing to work in various environments, and conditions
- Walk and/or stand, sit; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
- Use of hand for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
- Frequent lifting and/or moving; heavy lifting up to 90 lbs
- Ability to maneuver in small spaces, and reach high places
- While performing essential duties in this position, there is regular exposure to three phase high voltage
