      BASIC PURPOSE: This field service technician position will complete preventative maintenance and facility maintenance tasks for Love's store facilities such as HVAC, compressors, truck shop vehicles, fuel equipment, and other equipment. 

PAY, WORK HOURS, TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Pay:
  • $16-18/hour (this position is eligible for overtime pay)
• Hours: 
  • This position typically involves 50 workhours per week and is eligible for overtime pay. 
  • Typical workdays are Monday-Friday but some weekend work may be required.
• Travel Requirements:
  • Extensive travel is involved with this position.
  • This position comes with a company vehicle and a fuel credit card.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
  • Travel to Love's store locations with extended nights away from home.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This field service technician role will carry out assignments and instructions from supervisor(s) in a competent and efficient manner.
• Be aware of and always operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies.
• Work in a safe manner with personal safety and the safety of others as the number one priority.
• Complete all required preventative maintenance on assigned equipment at stores in accordance with Love’s and/or the manufacturers best practices.
• This maintenance technician role will account for supplies, materials, and equipment as required.
• Site Inspections and report issues to appropriate Love’s managers.
• Work with the team in place to answer questions on the phone and through emails.
• Candidates will need to be self-motivated with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Basic troubleshooting and repair of Love’s fuel system.
• Keep Love’s provided truck, tools, and provided equipment clean, safe, and in good working order.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience with maintenance is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of HVAC, fueling systems, or mechanical experience is preferred.
• Skills:

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Knowledge of general maintenance duties is a plus.

  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, laying tile, carpentry is a plus.

  • Basic computer and smart phone skills to answer emails, voicemails, and open and close tickets via app-based platforms.
