Our next Field Service Technician will diagnose equipment problems, use judgment to determine how to best repair or replace equipment, and work independently often. This candidate will provide repair service within an assigned territory to all vendors, coolers, fountain, and other designated equipment. Provides exceptional customer service while showcasing CS Group's attention to detail with each customer. Willingness to learn CS Group operations, specific industry equipment, repair processes and adhere to OSHA guidelines.
Job Duties:
- 60% traveling position
- Responsible for installing, setting up, repairing, and maintaining pre-mix systems and post-mix systems equipment within our customer accounts.
- Interacts with customers daily to diagnose, educate and support while ensuring customer expectations and needs are met.
- Maintains and manages equipment, including diagnostics and repair, replacing parts, testing components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with beverage equipment repair or related field (small appliance, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).
- Educates customers on necessary equipment repair and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Installs equipment by making holes and route lines to connect products to dispensing unit, connecting water and gas supply, and finding drains for units with ice. For box syrup, build racks and connect lines.
- Coursework in aforementioned fields may substitute for experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to meet CS Group's driving guidelines, valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Must be able to travel daily to assigned accounts. Overnight travel may be required.
- Proficient understanding and knowledge of electrical components, electronics, plumbing, board level schematics, refrigeration, vending/fountain equipment repair, parts and troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail, patience, and problem-solving ability.
- Able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Preferred Knowledge/Experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including needs assessment, quality standard and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Mechanical/technical and/or cooler and refrigeration experience highly preferred.
- Public safety and security knowledge of relevant equipment, policies and procedures for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions preferred.
- After each call, completes paperwork (e.g., what work was completed, what parts needed to be fixed or replaced, what equipment needed to be repaired or replaced.)
- Working with mechanical systems (e.g., knowing mechanical concepts, troubleshooting, and repairing appliances, performing basic household repair in plumbing, circuits, fuses, electrical components, operating hand tools, and power tools).
