About the Job
Position Overview:
- The Field Service Technician will build valve assemblies, pick, pull, pack and ship process customer orders with proper cycle testing and documentation.
- Support the sales office by coordinating all facets of full cycle warehouse operations.
- He/she will follow Bray safety policies through the coordination of materials receiving, supply and movement including stock identification loading/unloading, storage and transfer.
- Perform inventory control activities, including maintaining physical item counts and cycle counts.
- Manage additional warehouse personnel as required by workload to assemble and ship orders on schedule. In addition, conduct field service at customer facilities to install, calibrate and/or repair actuators and valves.
- In the course of being at the customer’s facility, will represent Bray in a sales function and encourage customers to purchase Bray products.
Minimum Requirements:
- Mechanical Aptitude; knowledge of proper use of hand tools, knowledge of proper use of pneumatic tools, ability to read instructions printed in English, write in English legibly, understand and follow instructions in English, demonstrate competency in operating a forklift, hand pallet lift and hand truck, maintain forklift certifications.
- Must have basic knowledge of electricity, wiring, color coding of wires, simple circuitry.
- Demonstrate competency in operating a computer, position requires operating basic software including UPS and common carrier software.
- Must have the ability to self motivate and work independently with little supervision in a dynamic and fast paced environment, to organize and prioritize workload, to handle daily time management to meet the demands of daily workload and to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Work with internal and external customers to provide technical assistance with Bray valves, actuators, and control products.
- Travel, as required (up to 10%) to provide field evaluation and repair relating to the warrantee repair and installation of our products.
- Write comprehensive service call reports.
- Perform product testing/troubleshooting as required.
- Process product returns and evaluations of valves & actuators returned from the field and generate evaluation reports.
