About the Job
Under general direction, the Trainer is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and conducting training services for customers of the Engineered Solutions business unit within the company.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
- Develop, control, and distribute training materials as needed.
- Discuss training needs with customers and work with the sales team to develop offerings and proposals.
- Coordinate with a global team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Technical Sales personnel, Field Service personnel, R&D personnel, QA/QC personnel, and various other Engineered Solutions technical resources to execute training offerings with customers.
- Schedule training sessions with customers.
- Project manage training efforts from conception through completion by meeting contract timelines, tracking and minimizing project costs, ensuring high-value presentation materials, and thoroughly documenting executed training.
- Provide training for customers in maintenance, installation, operation, and startup of processes.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Excellent communication skills - Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, customers, vendors, and fabricators.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Knowledge of computers and applications, such as Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to communicate (read/write) in English fluently.
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically 25% of the time.
- Must complete safety training within 1 year after the hire date and each subsequent year.
Working Conditions:
- Approximately 75% of time spent in the office environment.
- Office environment conditions are typical for an office setting.
- Approximately 25% of time spent in the plant environment.
- Plant environment conditions include some exposure to chemicals, hazardous materials, and noise; potential work at heights, in confined spaces, and inclement weather conditions.
