Job Details
The BESS Superintendent will assist in managing and overseeing the on-site construction and installation of battery energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule standards. They will work closely with subcontractors, project managers, and craft teams to meet productivity targets and resolve field issues. The role requires tracking progress, developing short-term schedules, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring resource availability and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor project activities, tracking progress and reporting on key milestones.
- Partner with Project Management team to perform budget management and cost analysis.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to resolve issues related to drawings, schedules, and materials.
- Maintain productivity, progress, and cost reports to keep the project on track.
- Conduct regular meetings to review and plan daily, weekly, and monthly project activities.
- Review timesheets, supplier logs, and progress payments.
- Identify and report potential back charges or out-of-scope issues.
- Supervise direct hires and subcontractors on-site, providing necessary training and development.
- Promote continuous improvement and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on equivalent projects.
- Valid, Active Driver’s License and the ability to complete pre-employment onboarding, including background checks MVR, and drug screening.
- Valid, Active DOT Medical Examiner's Certification
Education:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred or equivalent work experience
