The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing landscaping construction projects in the field, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves leading and guiding crews, collaborating with project managers, managing equipment and materials, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The Field Supervisor will build strong relationships with subcontractors and clients, fostering a productive and positive work environment while delivering successful landscaping projects.

- Project Management:
- Lead and supervise landscaping construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and effectively allocate resources.
- Oversee production operations on assigned shifts, maintaining alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Crew Management:
- Supervise and guide the crew, delegating tasks, and providing clear instructions to achieve project objectives.
- Train and mentor crew members to develop their skills, maintain high-quality workmanship, and promote a culture of safety.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.
- Equipment and Material Management:
- Coordinate the availability and proper use of equipment, materials, and tools required for successful project completion.
- Monitor equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance during projects.
- Problem-Solving:
- Proactively identify and address project-related challenges, implementing solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Quickly respond to on-site issues, maintaining a focus on delivering quality results and maintaining client satisfaction.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate regularly with clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests professionally and efficiently.
- Provide timely updates on project progress and manage any changes to the original plan in coordination with project managers.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including work hours, materials used, and any on-site incidents or accidents.
- Prepare progress reports for project managers and senior management as required, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Cost Control:
- Work closely with project managers to manage project budgets effectively, controlling costs, minimizing material waste, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Safety and Quality Control:
- Ensure that all work carried out by the crew meets quality standards, design plans, and project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from project specifications.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring that crew members follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to address potential hazards and enhance crew safety awareness.
- Training and Certifications:
- Maintain up-to-date certifications, including OSHA 30 - Construction, advanced bleeding control, and CPR.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- A successful candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Background in hardscaping, paving, and concrete (preferred).
- Solid background in landscaping is required.
- Ability to manage crews, time cards, cost of materials/manpower.
- General understanding of construction labor cost.
- The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, bend, climb, touch, and grasp objects. Employees may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Special vision abilities required include close vision, depth and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment can vary, especially when in the field, and may occasionally be very loud.
