The Field Survey Technician supports the field collection of aerial survey project control, completes field reporting and assists our engineers, surveyors and photogrammetrists in obtaining and computing data relevant to measuring the Earth’s surfaces and features.
THIS ROLE WILL START IN JANUARY 2025.
Responsibilities:- Ability to process topographic surveys and interpret survey field data
- Prepare field plans for survey collection for aerial imagery projects
- Engage in daily communication with Project Surveyor
- Maintain survey field equipment and recommend updates/upgrades as required
- Strong pursuit of continuing education and ultimately licensure
- Support EagleView’s ground control survey collection process
- Assist surveyor and perform procedures compliant with State Board rules
- Regular travel across the USA and Canada
- Other Duties as Assigned
- BA/BS required in Land Surveying from an ABET accredited baccalaureate degree program in surveying; and passed Part 1 – NCEES Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) the licensing examination or equivalent certifications
PREFERRED
- 3-5 years of experience in Surveying, able to obtain licensure in 0-2 years
- Strong inter-personal engagement skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D applications or ArcGIS
- Ability to handle project changes with confidence
- Proficient in Trimble Business Center
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, additional benefits offered, and the location where the work will be performed. All Full-time (30+ hours) employees are eligible for PTO, Sick and Parental Leave; Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; 401(k) Plan; Health Savings Account and Health Reimbursement Accounts; Life Insurance; Employee Assistance Program. This is a full-time, remote role, with a pay range of $27-33/hour.
