This position is a highly skilled technician and requires the individual to demonstrate a very high level of professionalism through positive communication and appearance
The main goal of this position is to restore equipment to a ""like new"" status in three core functions - Safety, Mechanical and Quality Appearance.Position Responsibilities: Travel to and perform all levels of repair on-site at various Climate Control locations.Understand major repair needs for all aspects of equipmentClean, repair, order and install all necessary parts to ensure these standards are metEnsure decals are replaced and equipment is cleaned, then detailedTrain onsite service techs to diagnose and repair equipment to maintain quality, as well as regular check-ins and preventative maintenanceProvide insight to repair and warehouse areas to technicians Operate company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver's license and excellent driving record free from pointsKeep records and maintain company vehicle
This includes washing, oil-changes and general safety inspection
Any defect or variation from normal performance should be reported to the supervisorMaintain and track company tools and supplies (broken tools should be brought to supervisor for replacement)Provide own tools as outlined.Communicate professionally with customers, service techs, managers, and sales engineerComplete appropriate paperwork for repairsWork with service technicians to keep appropriate records and paperworkKeeps track of serial numbersImplement proper and safe proceduresDemonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor to customers and PC teamDemonstrate effective written and verbal communicationTake accurate phone messages and have a clear, professional manner when speaking with customersCommunicates effectively with staffIs on call for emergency service and is available if such emergencies ariseSuccessfully troubleshoots and completely understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipmentUnderstand advanced electrical motors and controls and their operationsRequirements: Education & Experience: Valid driver's license free from points required5 plus years of HVAC repair experience requiredSome after-hours and weekend work will be required during peak timesMust be able to travel 75% of the time, both locally and nationallyBasic math skillsMust be at least 21 years of age in order to operate commercial vehiclesHVAC certification is requiredEPA certification requiredExperience in full break down and repair of all types of heating, cooling, and remediation equipment, including major repairsDeep diagnostic expertise to diagnose equipment needs to meet standards in areas such as safety, mechanical and quality appearance/cosmeticTroubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical, fuel, and electrical systemsBase Pay Range: $28.08 - 40.36Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience
