Field Technician
Salary: $26/hr.
Location: Gilbert, AZ (fully on-site)

Qualifications:
- High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional technical training sufficient to perform preventive and demand maintenance tasks and minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Ability to properly assemble safety wire assemblies and connectors.
- Ability to solder and repair cables and harnesses.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds and work with hazardous materials.
- Ability to mix and weigh chemicals
- Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements.
- Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721 highly desired.
Responsibilities:
- Performs depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (M-TADS/PNVS).
- Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
- Performs solder to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721 standards.
- Performs electrical rework/repair of cable harnesses, electrical wires, and circuit card assemblies.
- Operates automated or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and uses knowledge of basic AC/DC theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of faulty components.
- Completes work IAW engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Component Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs)
- Documents work in automated maintenance data collection systems IAW Apache Fire Control processes and procedures
- Performs test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, structural, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems.
- Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
- Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
- Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
- May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
