Field Technician - Infrastructure Rehabilitation - Dibble Engineering

Dibble Engineering has an immediate opening in the Phoenix Arizona office for an Infrastructure Rehabilitation Technician to perform on-site construction quality assurance monitoring and condition assessment investigation of the interior of sanitary sewer pipes and other duties as assigned. Duties include:
- Reporting of observed structural and operational defects present within a pipe interior.
- Documenting daily activities, observations and construction activities observed.
- Municipal and public interaction with private homeowners during the pre-construction and construction pipe rehabilitation activities.
- Maintaining strong focus on client and resident satisfaction as the candidate will interact closely with the general public. Ability to respond to client and homeowner questions with confidence while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Review of closed circuit television (CCTV) video images of pipe interior to determine condition for quality assurance review and determination of contractor's compliance with project specifications.
- Attend regular project status meetings and contribute to the success of the project and this company. Technician shall obtain a clear understanding of project specifications and attend regular meetings for project and schedule updates.
- Effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office software suite to collect, copy, transfer, print, save and file digital files into a predetermined files structure for future retrieval.
Experience & Education: Candidate must have 1-2 years experience in the field of civil engineering construction along with knowledge of MS Office computer software and the ability to obtain the National Association of Sanitary Service Company (NASSCO) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP). Prior utility installation experience helpful. Previous construction monitoring or trenchless pipe rehabilitation in the wastewater industry a plus.
Qualifications:
- Ability to comply with Dibble Values and Mission.

- Knowledge of rehabilitation methods, materials, and procedures.
- Ability to understand project Civil Engineering Documents. Knowledge of construction standards (ASTM, MAG, etc.).
- Experience in reviewing and investigating complaints, hazardous conditions, schedules, methods, materials and any other project related matters.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and practices.
- Applicant shall possess physical conditioning for strenuous walking activities in typical Arizona temperatures that routinely exceed 110 degrees F. Capable of carrying equipment of approximately 50 pounds up, in and around uneven or unimproved terrain.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to provide quality, timely deliverables. Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word with the ability to file and submit electronic files as needed.
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to identify and address quality control issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be able to work unsupervised in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the contractor's schedule, including night and weekend shifts. Ability to travel out of town on occasion for extended periods of time.
- Must possess a good driving record with ability to be insured.
