Job Description:

As a Field Service Technician at UDG Services, you will be responsible for providing on-site appliance repairs, maintenance, and installation services. We are seeking candidates with a background in appliance repair or similar technical skills, particularly those with military experience. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Client Support – Provide appliance installation, repair, and maintenance services to customers within our service area (Shelby to Holland). Troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and resolve customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
• Equipment and Service – Maintain detailed reports of service calls, parts used, and customer interactions. Offer recommendations for equipment upgrades when necessary. Ensure service vans and tools are well-maintained and inventory is managed efficiently.
• Customer Relations – Build strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service. Educate customers on equipment use and care, and communicate clearly throughout the service process.

Requirements:

• Military veteran with honorable discharge (preferred)
• Proven experience in appliance repair, HVAC, or similar fields
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 55 pounds
• Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver’s license
• Resides within the service area of Shelby to Holland, MI

Schedule:

• Choose your own hours
• 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts available
• Day shifts, Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
