Your primary responsibilities will include managing both physical and electronic records, ensuring that all information is accurate, current, and easily accessible. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, possesses strong organizational skills, and is capable of handling sensitive information with discretion. As a File Clerk, you will maintain files that support day-to-day operations. In addition to filing and retrieval of documents, you will also assist in the implementation of filing systems and may engage in administrative tasks as required. Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files for accounting records.
- Ensure all documents are accurately filed and easily retrievable.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of filing systems as needed.
- Review files for completeness and accuracy, correcting any discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits of files to ensure compliance with company policies and data security standards.
- Support the accounting team with administrative tasks, including data entry and document preparation.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper filing practices are followed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or office administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a file clerk or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
