SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Mailroom / File Clerk is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail daily. The ideal candidate must be technologically proficient, organized and detail-oriented. This is a PART TIME position with flexibility in schedule which can be great for Students or others seeking regular part tie work in a rewarding environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and log accountable incoming mail/overnights on a daily basis.
- Sort incoming mail.
- Perform mail delivery tasks.
- Process outgoing mail per Postal requirements.
- Log all trackable outbound mail for reference.
- Sort company mail, specific bulletins and correspondence.
- Scan incoming notices via scanning machine (daily).
- Resolve the notices in the �Manual� queue (daily).
- Scan the inbound mail
- Special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
- Restocking of mailing supplies in copy rooms for servicing team.
- Resolve any mailroom inbox emails/issues daily.
. Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clerical experience a plus
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong communication skills � both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Reading and writing skills required
- Ability to multitask
- Communicates effectively interdepartmentally
- Ability to pay attention to detail
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies.
- In addition, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with their arms and hands, and to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is expected to be able to lift items up to 40 lbs.
