Cloverland Farms Dairy is seeking a Filler Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate works with the packaging end of a production line. The filler's task is to fill containers with the required number of products before packaging and shipping. The filler also operates filling machines and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure consistency.
Work Schedule - 11:00pm – Finished, off Sunday and Tuesday
Pay Rate - $24.14/hr plus $0.50 differential
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up coding machine for various products and proper code dates.
- Identify and use proper packaging, labels, caps, etc. for various finished products.
- Ensure quality and security of product which includes but is not limited to weights, carton seals, dye checks, code dates, and proper packaging.
- Complete data sheets and ersure requirements have been met.
- Hook up and tear down fillers between product change over.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) of fillers, valve gaskets, etc.
- Maintain proper housekeeping of work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Must be capable of reading and understanding instructions and have knowledge of basic math skills.
- Ability to apply analytical reasoning and root cause analysis to solve problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Wet and slippery floor conditions.
- Must be able to stand on feet during the entire shift.
- Position requires constant bending, lifting, reaching and climbing ladders during an eight- or ten-hour shift.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
