About the Job
Musco Sports Lighting is seeking to hire a Finance Business Analyst to the support the business and accounting team in process improvement, reporting, services, and optimization of software solutions through data analysis and testing. Primary focus on D365 F&O, will also develop knowledge of legacy systems and integrations.
What will you do as a Finance Business Analyst?
- Investigate problems with D365 F&O and legacy financial applications, diagnose root causes, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with finance teams to assess current processes and design improved workflows.
- Configure and customize D365 to meet financial and accounting needs, focusing on Project Module, GL, AP, PO, AR, Cash/Bank, Fixed Assets, Budget and Credit.
- Manage D365 system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshoot issues related to accounting modules.
- Document data flows, system integrations, and identify areas for system optimization.
- Coordinate with IT to manage existing D365 Security roles and assist the business in developing new roles.
- Document and assist in defining business requirements, process maps, and use cases.
- High level of collaboration with the IT department and developers.
- Investigate feature requests, clarify objectives, understand software functionality, and recommend solutions using industry best practices.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Document and maintain system configurations and customizations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, serving as a key finance liaison for D365.
- May have to occasionally travel to other Musco locations.
What will you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- 4-6+ years’ experience working with D365 F&O and other information systems and systems analysis.
- Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
- Experience with manufacturing industry.
- Must have strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Should be able to work with some amount of self-directedness.
- Ability to work in a confidential manner with data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Analytical mindset
- Experience with Excel, Power BI and Power Pivots would be a plus
