Overview

This is a hybrid-remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, will work a minimum of 1-2 days a week at an assigned Legacy Health location. This is highly consultative and has regular meetings at a variety of Legacy locations across the Portland Metro area. On days that onsite activity is not scheduled, individuals in this role may work remotely.

The Finance Business Partners are members of entity, service line or division executive teams and are responsible to steward and support financial performance. They provide business insight and perspective, manage financial performance, provide training and support to leaders to develop and support financial management acumen, and provide analysis and insight to evaluate current and future programs and services. They are a trusted advisor for all levels of leadership of the entities they support. They are embedded in their assigned entity or division.

The Finance Business Partner has responsibility for providing help with identifying and communicating financial target variances, operational issues impacting performance, proforma analysis on major projects, and ensuring that management has knowledge of and can access readily available data. They attend on-going management meetings as an active participant. They proactively identify finance issues and variances and facilitate proper corrective actions supported by finance data and analysis. They provide on-site support working with management to discuss specific issues or provide training so that managers are better able to interpret financial results. They act as advisor to senior management as well as providing expert knowledge to managers who are in the process of developing or modifying operating plans or processes.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Master's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration, or Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of six years' work experience as an accountant, financial analyst, financial/business consultant, and/or auditor or related area of responsibility or previous job experience at the Financial Program Manager level.
• Understanding of the healthcare environment with the ability to provide technical Leadership for Legacy Health System.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Skills:

• Presentation experience at the senior management level required.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to perform comprehensive analytical tasks using appropriate computer tools.
• Demonstrated judgment in prioritizing projects and reaching appropriate analytical conclusions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health care accounting systems and related support functions such as reimbursement, billing concepts, and health care operational and clinical practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a large group environment.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
• Proficient in computer skills, including relational databases, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software, and query languages.
• Strong interpersonal communication and coaching skills.
• Teamwork oriented; promotes unity in achieving goals.
• Sound facilitation, consensus building and conflict resolution skills.
