About the Job
Bob Barker Company is looking for a team-oriented and experienced Finance Clerk - Accounts Receivable to join the Finance team in Fuquay-Varina, NC. The Finance Clerk – AR will perform a wide variety of office and accounting clerical duties to support the Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Manage clerical and administrative duties primarily focused on customers, invoicing, and accounts receivable.
- Post customer payments by verifying and entering lockbox and local deposit transactions.
- Research, track and resolve invoice, customer, and transactional problems.
- Provide customer service support for the Finance team by responding to customer and vendor inquiries timely and professionally.
- Provide front desk customer service.
- Serve as backup when Receptionist when they take Paid Time Off.
- Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone.
- Respond to visitor questions by answering directly or referring them to another individual.
- Sort and file mail.
- Serve as backup for credit releases.
- Build positive customer relationships.
- Research and resolve customer payment application discrepancies (Check, ACH, Credit Card).
- Learn the Sales Tax process and serve as primary backup.
- Serve as a backup for Business License & Annual Reports maintenance.
- Assist with month end/year end closing related to AR.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- At least two years Accounts Receivable experience
- Must be familiar with basic accounting concepts.
- Must be able to learn and work in various software applications.
- Microsoft Office and basic Excel skills required.
- NetSuite or other integrated system experience preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Must be able to work through frequent interruptions.
- Must understand the importance of meeting deadlines and organize responsibilities as needed.
- Initiative-taker with exceptional critical thinking skills.
- Exercise professional behavior and proper phone etiquette.
