POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance & Controlling Analyst will be in support of controlling for the Vallourec USA Corporation entity, which is housing both finishing and trading of imported products to the US and North America headquarters. They will assist Functional VPs and Directors based in NA Headquarters in building their department’s budgets and tracking their costs, as well as being responsible for preparing the forecast and presenting it to top management. They will also support the sales teams of OCTG and E&I businesses by providing them accurate data and reports on their operations, as well as participating in the preparing of the forecast of the businesses and presenting it to management. The Finance & Controlling Analyst will also support the Supply Chain team in controlling inventory accuracy and forecasting future inventory levels.
They will also assist Vallourec USA Corporation Controller for the monthly accounting closing of the entity and for monthly reporting duties. The position reports to the Vallourec USA Corporation Controller.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely and accurate financial and operational reporting and analysis to sales teams
- Coordinate and help develop processes to standardize, track, and monitor key commercial and financial metrics for Vallourec USA Corp.
- Lead the Spend Control Tower (SCT) process for the Vallourec USA Corp. entity
- Bring forth opportunities for improving financial results and highlighting any risks within the entity
- Ability to work closely with all areas of the company, Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Executive Management
- Streamline and improve the reporting requirements of the business. Identify key performance drivers, anticipate change in results, estimate results and effectively communicate to Sales management and Functional VPs and Directors
- Support Vallourec USA Corporation Controller on various assignments
- Additional ad-hoc duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Education, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or Engineering
- 3-5 years of related experience
- A first experience as controller or analyst in a manufacturing environment or a first experience in Public accounting & auditing / Internal Audit experience a plus
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES & CAPABILITIES
- Experience with exploiting databases and with reports automation in Excel
- Understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash-Flow)
- SAP/other ERP proficiency preferred
- Business Objects/Magnitude or other reporting and consolidation software preferred
