About the Job
Our client is seeking a thoughtful and disciplined executive who will bring significant experience and credibility to the management team. This individual will be primarily responsible for overseeing financial operations, optimizing vendor utilization, financial planning/budgeting, implementing key compliance processes, and overseeing accounting staff. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of CLOs and structured fund products. This includes experience with intricate financial instruments, securitization processes, and the ability to analyze and manage complex debt structures.
Experience:
• Senior finance leader with experience building a best-in-class finance and operational capability within Big4. Experience related to asset management and working with business and financial institutions.
• CPA required
• Strong FP&A / strategic finance and M&A background highly preferred
• Expertise setting relevant metrics, building thesis strategies, and communications to effectively manage stakeholders
• Superior communication and presenting skills are critical. Experience managing relations with and presenting to investors, bankers, lenders, and the broader investment community. Ability to confidently oversee/contribute to potential inbound and outbound M&A opportunities, work in a levered model, and manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong strategic and business oriented financial executive. Must be forward thinking and have the ability to understand the key business drivers and their potential financial impacts
• Relationship-driven and possess values-based behavior including openness to new ideas, collaboration, ownership over work product; humble with a low-ego.
Key Outcomes:
• Support the CEO in monitoring and achieving financial targets
• Lead a cohesive team and leverage the team’s combined strengths at all levels in ways that maximize the success of the company
• Manage relations with bankers, lenders, and the asset management community.
• Instill financial discipline and metric tracking to measure performance against goals and achieve budget and targeted results. This will include promoting and coordinating the use of metrics throughout the organization
• Oversee the firm’s financial and capital assets while ensuring timely management, forecasting and reporting of cash and cash flow. This will include ensuring cash optimization and capital efficiency.
• Oversee all financial and operational controls, metrics and revenue recognition policies/procedures within the organization.
• Proactively manage outside lending relationships
• Oversee and coordination with departmental leaders the filing of federal, state, third-party and other financial reports to ensure compliance
• Oversee, develop and improve reporting processes and systems to deliver timely and accurate financial and operational information to field team and senior management
• Continue building a strong internal reporting capability, supported by strong analytics and metrics to track business performance. Provide insight into what creates the most value for the Company by developing rigorous analysis for resource allocation and future investments
• Serve as a strategic partner to CEO/COO and core stakeholders to make informed strategic, and financial decisions, consistent with corporate objectives. This will include making effective presentations to small and large groups of both internal and external parties.
