Summary:
Directs financial functions for the Physician Enterprise which includes: Memorial Physician Group (MPG), Memorial Primary Care (MPC) and Memorial Urgent Care Centers (UCC); encompassing both Professional Billing Finance and Decision Support. Areas of oversight include accounting, finance, reporting, policy interpretation and auditing.
Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements, reports and analysis on the MPG/MPC/UCC financial operations that include the status of programs and activities, progress, adverse trends and make recommendations. Analyze different scenarios to aid leadership in making informed decisions.Work collaboratively with all MPG/MPC/UCC Administrative Directors, Directors, Program Directors, and the entire Memorial Physician Enterprise Executive Leadership team to coordinate and confirm the financial activities and goals of the Physician Enterprise.Hires, manages time and attendance, assigns daily work and conducts performance management and annual performance evaluations for assigned staff. Maintains technical knowledge; attends workshops and trainings.Responsible for developing a formal plan for enhancing the financial decision support work including: 1. Development of the long term plan for improving quality, access and reporting of patient level and physician based financial information 2. Identifying optimal systems and tools to provide this information.Engage in proactive assessment of opportunities to improve patient level financial reporting and assessment and coordinate with the appropriate leadership teams to ensure financial integrity and consistency as well as the implementation and evolution to new reporting tools.Coordinate, supervise, and participate in the financial administration of all ad hoc, daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and transactions to ensure they are complete, timely and reflect the financial position of the Physician Enterprise. Coordinate and participate in the preparation of various financial reports and analyses for senior leadership, internal and external customers.

The incumbent must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action when required. The work also requires knowledge of accounting or business principles and practices generally obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree program in an accounting or business-related field, along with knowledge of Microsoft Sql., Epic, and Lawson systems. Required Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience in professional billing and progressive health care leadership within a finance role. The experience should include an understanding of various reporting and decision support tools. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Masters Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration.
