Job Title: Financial Analyst / Controller

Location: Hoffman Estates, Illinois (Hybrid role - 3 days in office - Monday, Wed, and Thursday)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst/Controller to join our team and support our financial operations, working closely with our CPAs and accounting team. This is a hands-on role requiring experience in forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a background in SaaS, startups, or similar industries and will provide valuable insights to help us manage and optimize our finances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with CPAs and the accounting team to support daily financial operations.
• Analyze financial data, such as spending patterns, hosting costs, and marketing expenses, to identify areas for cost optimization.
• Provide detailed forecasts and analysis on business spending, helping the leadership make informed decisions.
• Perform variance analysis, identifying discrepancies between costs and revenue, and recommend actionable insights.
• Assist with 401K management and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Deliver various financial reports, including monthly/quarterly forecasts, financial models, and performance analysis.
• Contribute to strategic planning by offering insights into how to allocate resources effectively.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Senior Accountant, past CFO of a smaller company or startup, Controller, or Financial Analyst.
• Experience working with SaaS platforms, startups, or high-growth companies is a plus.
• Strong skills in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver clear, actionable reports.
• Hands-on experience with financial management tools and accounting systems.
• Familiarity with 401K management and related financial operations.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
