Description
We are seeking a passionate, talented, and inventive individual to join the Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Finance team supporting our Autonomy organization that is building . Amazon's Autonomy group is the world's largest and best resourced agents R&D effort. This Finance Manager role spans the entirety of the ~75-person Autonomy organization and will work closely with the leader of AGI's Autonomy group and the Finance Director for AGI.
You will be expected to have an established background in financial analysis and working with senior leaders at the Vice President level and above. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex problems, is customer-centric, is excited by new technologies like Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) and motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Providing business partnership to the Autonomy AGI Product Technology teams.
- Developing commercialization opportunities with AGI Agents.
- Coordinating and collaborating with cross functional teams across Worldwide Amazon AGI and IPAT to track investments across initiatives.
- Supporting leadership reviews (MBRs, QBRs, OP1/2, etc.).
- Support ad-hoc Financial Analysis and Modelling.
- Assisting in month end close, controllership, and annual/quarterly planning activities.
A day in the life
We're looking for a Finance Manager who is comfortable developing new commercialization ideals, developing a work-backward business plan that incorporates Sales and Marketing, and partner organizations such as AWS, Alexa and Stores, has strong financial modelling skills, and is experienced in tracking technology development initiatives. The ideal candidate will work well with ambiguity and can determine the right amount of data needed to drive decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
