POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Manager will provide financial and business leadership to the Clinical and RA team, as they seek to expand access to our technologies globally, through clinical trials, early feasibility studies, regulatory submissions, and evidence generation. The key expectation for this role is to bring best-in-class business partner support to the Clinical and RA organization, help the finance team to enhance and streamline the clinical accruals process, and create transparency around key spending, milestones, KPIs and outcomes related to our clinical trials.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for supporting the VP, Clinical Affairs to ensure funding and tracking for our critical RCTs in Protect IV and STEMI DTU, as well as Recover IV and other on-going trials.
- Provide monthly reviews to the VP Clinical and her staff on actual spend vs. budget.
- Closely partner with the Clinical Trial Directors to keep the Clinical Trials tracking files up to date.
- Participate in developing long-term strategy and short-term implementation tactics to deliver cost effective clinical trials.
- Lead Monthly and Quarterly Closing Processes for Clinical and RA
- Partnership within the R&D Finance team on all matters reporting and consolidation, as well as with the broader finance team in US, DE and Japan.
- Lead project to streamline the accrual process of clinical trial cost, benchmark with other J&J Finance teams to drive efficiencies and time savings.
- Encourage participation and adoption of various Corporate, Enterprise and MedTech Finance initiatives (e.g., Credo Survey Actions, SigniFi / TranSCend ERP system / process improvements, etc.)
- Ensure SOX controls and GAAP compliance standards are fully met for all processes.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience within the MedTech industry.
- Prior experience supporting clinical, R&D, or regulatory teams is preferred.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work independently and appropriately plan, prioritize, and communicate progress on multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Should demonstrate big picture thinking while balancing with appropriate attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, and sound judgment in delivering business outcomes.
- Proficiency to network, collaborate and generate consensus effectively in a complex environment, possessing strong social skills, promoting inclusion, and building trusting relationships with business partners across all cultures and levels of the organization.

The base pay range for this position is $97,000 - $166,750
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
