About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in Government Contracting (GovCon) and expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (now known as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and driving financial strategies in line with corporate objectives. This position is critical to maintaining financial integrity and supporting business growth in a GovCon environment.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting, to ensure the company's financial health and alignment with strategic goals.
- GovCon Compliance: Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.
- Microsoft NAV/Business Central Management: Lead the implementation, customization, and maintenance of Microsoft NAV (Dynamics 365 Business Central) to optimize financial processes, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reporting.
- Contract Financial Oversight: Manage the financial aspects of government contracts, including cost proposals, contract audits, indirect rates, and billing structures (e.g., cost-plus, fixed-price, and time-and-materials contracts).
- Audit and Reporting: Prepare for and support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with both GAAP and government contracting requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a finance team, providing guidance and support on financial management, compliance, and systems use.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting, data accuracy, and system efficiency, particularly within the Microsoft NAV platform.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the project management, contracts, and operations teams to provide financial insights and ensure the alignment of project budgets, forecasts, and financial goals.
