Description:
We are working with an industry leading food manufacturer in the Seattle market seeking a Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost accounting. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles and a proven track record in managing financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in cost accounting, enabling them to drive cost-effective strategies and improve profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
Cost Accounting:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a robust cost accounting system.
- Develop and analyze cost standards, variances, and profitability reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Provide valuable insights into product costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.
Financial Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements, including GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Financial Management:
- Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity.
- Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, investments, and risk management.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor finance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, budgeting software).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
