Selling Partner Services (SPS) Finance has an immediate opening for a Finance Manager to support Worldwide Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) team. The DP&R organization develops technology that identifies, reconciles, and prevents defects across Amazon's fulfillment supply chain. DP&R's scope includes all marketplaces worldwide with products that directly impact both Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) selling partners and Retail vendors.
This Finance Manager will play a key role in reducing Amazon overall cost to serve by driving policy changes and process improvements working along with DP&R business team. In this role, you will work on complex financial models that touch every aspect of our fulfillment operations and influence decision making to manage Amazon profitability as well as our Selling Partners experience. You will interact with our global teams and partner with software development engineers, operations product and program managers and international finance teams. A day in the life
As the Finance Manager, you will work closely with multiple business teams including operations, Selling Partner Services, legal, fee strategy, returns and recommence to help drive Amazon Cost to Serve lower while maintaining high customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for leading complex financials analysis by engaging cross functional teams to help leadership in shaping future products and policies.
About the team
The WW DP&R Finance team focuses on solving extremely complex issues related to reducing end to end supply chain defects. We are helping our business team in building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns).
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or MBA and 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
