About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee financial operations for a warehouse and distribution facility located in Shelby, NC.
This role is ideal for someone with solid QuickBooks experience, along with the ability to track and manage budgets using Excel and other mid-tier ERP systems. If you enjoy managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and supporting cost-control measures, our client would love to have you on their team.
Salary: $50,000+ per year (DOE)
Location: Shelby, NC
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and financial forecasts to ensure the financial health of the warehouse and distribution operations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights into performance and areas for improvement.
- Cost Management: Track and analyze key costs related to inventory, labor, and transportation to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist with audits, ensure financial compliance with regulations, and support risk management efforts by liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with the management team to ensure financial strategies align with warehouse and logistics operations.
Requirements:
- QuickBooks Expertise: Extensive experience with QuickBooks, including generating reports and managing financial data.
- ERP & Excel Proficiency: Proficiency in QuickBooks or mid-tier ERP systems, along with advanced skills in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic financial modeling).
- Finance Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial colleagues and work cross-functionally.
