Mechanical has provided a full range of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, drain cleaning, and environmental services to commercial, industrial and residential customers.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Finance Supervisor's responsibility is to support the finance division in overseeing the payables, billing and collections process. The goal of an Finance Supervisor is to ensure that the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Teams are operating efficiently and according to company standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage daily operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Team
Provide support and training to AR/AP Team
Resolve more complex AR/AP inquiries
Improve and enforce department policies and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency
Oversee Work-In-Progress (WIP) open work order review
Manage daily cash receipt processing
Process General Ledger Journal Entries
Reconcile Purchase Orders and resolve any discrepancies, escalating as needed
Assist Management with Month-End and Year-End Closings
Provide management with reports, data, and information vital to department and company objectives and performance
Obtain and provide financial forms, including Certificate of Insurance and W9 requests
Manage collections and ensure timely collection of payments
Monitor and maintain bid contracts for renewal/expirations and rate changes
Prepare deferred revenue analysis
Other accounting or department responsibilities as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
5 years' experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Associates/technical degree or certificate in accounting, finance, or other related field
Construction/Mechanical/Service industry experience highly preferred
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Verbal & written communication skills
Attention to detail and organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
Ability to work as a team player
