ABOUT THE JOB AND THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a Seasoned Financial Accountant to join our team in our Southborough office. The Financial Accountant will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance administration in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will require minimal day-to-day supervision and be able to support the senior management team. This is an in-office position (not remote or hybrid) and a great opportunity for career-minded candidates looking to grow.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The position duties:
- Input and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks (desktop version).
- Manage Accounts Receivables and Payables.
- Deep understanding of AIA Billing.
- Assist with monthly project progress billing.
- Process purchase orders and accounts payable.
- Follow strict required documentation from subcontractors prior to issuing payments.
- Track budgets/projections and other management benchmarks.
- Track of Sales Tax-Exempt Projects.
- Daily management and posting of card accounts and job costing.
- Monthly reconciliation of cards accounts.
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
- Projects documents filing
- Assist administer Employees Benefits Package
- Set up new vendors and maintain up to date information.
- Request and maintain certificates of insurance.
- Renew and maintain all automobiles and trucks registration/insurances.
- Prepare and oversee Workers' Compensation and General Liability renewals and audits.
- Assist with purchase of office equipment.
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventory.
Position requirements:
- Proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop Contractor Version)
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, Word)
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Knowledge of Procore Software a plus.
- 5+ years' experience in accounting with a minimum of 3 years in COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION
- Construction experience required. Commercial/Public Construction experience preferred.
- Notary Public or ability to become, required.
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
