Position Title: Associate Financial Advisor (AFA)
Polaris Wealth Group, an Ameriprise Private Wealth Advisory Practice in the Downers Grove, Illinois office location, is looking for an Associate Financial Advisor to help clients achieve their financial goals through in-depth financial planning with an emphasis on delivering an exceptional client experience.
Position Summary: The main objective of this position is to build relationships, review goals, and provide investment advice grounded in goal-based planning for our clients. The AFA will also provide client relationship support, prepare preliminary client deliverables, work with clients to resolve issues, and handle money movement transactions.
This position will consistently follow high standards of business, professional ethics, and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.
Position Information: Full-Time
Pay rate commensurate with experience
Location: Downers Grove, Illinois
Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Position Responsibilities:
· Reviews client goals and objectives to provide investment recommendations tailored to clients personalized needs.
· Performs portfolio reviews and financial analysis to identify opportunities that benefit the client.
· Understands the importance of building relationships based on deep financial planning discussions centering around client’s assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives.
· Promptly responds to client inquiries and manages resolution of client issues.
· Responsible for any transactions as directed, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate investment trusts, annuities and insurance products, and other applicable investments for clients.
· Responds to ad hoc requests, prepares client correspondence, completes forms, generates reports, processes confidential documents, and coordinates with Home Office on related issues.
· Assists with the coordination, preparation, and follow-up for client meetings, including compliance requirements, deliverables, and reports.
· Builds and maintains a deep understanding of client needs, as well as industry trends, regulatory rules, best practices, processes, and solutions.

Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Current Driver’s License
· Active Securities Licenses – Series 7 and Series 66
· Active Insurance Licenses – IL Life and Health
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge in MS Office
