Platt College Los Angeles consists of four Southern California campuses located in Alhambra, Ontario, Riverside and Anaheim. Platt offers certificate and degree programs in several subject areas including school of graphic design, business and legal studies, medical sciences, and information technology. The Financial Aid Advisor helps applicants and existing students develop a plan for meeting their educational expenses while attending Platt College. The FA Advisor assists students with the financial aid application process. The Financial Aid Advisor also executives many of the steps required to secure aid funds including packaging, verification, requesting draws, refund calculations, file audits and entrance/exit interviews.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of current Title IV, federal and state regulations regarding Financial Aid
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Ability to effectively communicate sensitive financial information to prospective and current customers in an understandable manner
Credentials and Experience:
- High School Degree or GED is required
- Associate degree or above in related fields of accounting, finance, business, administrations, etc. is preferred
- Prior related work experience is a plus
