Land O'Lakes is hiring a FP&A Financial Analyst to support our Animal Nutrition business segment. In this role, you will partner with our growing feed additives team, a team designed to sell technologies which focus on health and/or performance benefits to the animal. You will act as primary support to internal sales, marketing, and R&D, as well be involved as the liaison between Animal Nutrition and various external partners.
This position is located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters (hybrid work arrangement each week)
Primary responsibilities of this role includes:
- Offer business partnership and financial support to feed additives segment
- Track, manage, and forecast/budget innovation spend and returns
- Model and provide guidance on international growth strategies
- Assist with royalty reporting and other sales reporting needs
- Responsible for oversight of joint ventures and corresponding equity earnings
- Lead forecasting/budgeting process and variance analysis
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline along with 3 years related work experience
- Understanding of the interconnectivity between the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows
- Previous experience supporting a business segment on volume, sales, expense, and/or profitability reporting needs, including financial modeling
- Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase Planning, OBI, Power BI, JDE applications, Microsoft Office or other similar systems
- Proficient with Excel (Advanced), Word, and Power Point
Required Competencies:
- Ability to demonstrate excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Sound understanding of accounting and finance concepts, principles, and operations
- Demonstrate strong communication skills including ability to work effectively across multiple levels, functions, and organization
- Results oriented, proactive, and a self-starter with mindset of continuous improvement
- Ability to work in a fast pace, changing environment, and prioritize workload as needed
