Our Accounting & Finance Staffing team is currently looking to speak with candidates who would be a good fit for roles with the specifications below:
Responsibilities: Prepare and complete monthly billings to ensure accuracy Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting package, year-end audit, and other regulatory reporting Support implementation and ongoing compliance with accounting system, accounting department policies and procedures, cost allocation methodology, payroll and time keeping systems Maintain program budgets and forecasts in the general ledger system Work alongside team members on annual agency budgeting process and regular re-forecasting updates Ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP and regulations Maintain alignment of expenditures with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period Ensure all entries are booked in a timely manner to adhere to schedules and deadlines Perform account reconciliations and analysis as required
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Solid understanding of accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll Experience in grants management and revenue recognition Knowledge of GAAP and government cost regulations Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment Familiarity with nonprofit fund accounting systems Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
