Description: Our client is currently seeking a Financial Analyst in Coppell, TX
This job will have the following responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will be accountable for creating monthly forecasts and budgets (operational and overhead), generating financial reports, driving & reporting on monthly cost saving initiatives. Responsible for loading financial data to QlikSense BI tool (dashboard) and validating dashboard for accuracy.
The position requires interaction with a broad number of employees to validate data and collaborate on discrepancies found. This position is a key role in the critical analysis of costs associated with the overall mobile logistics operations (Import, Warehouse & Transportation). This position is also responsible for supporting improvement opportunities throughout the organization, for monitoring discrepancies and escalating to appropriate parties.
DUTIES AND RESPONISIBLITIES
- Data analysis
- Develop financial models that help with decision-making
- Produce financial reports related to expenses, budgets, account payables, cost savings, etc.
- Develop long-term business plans based on these reports
- Review, monitor, and manage budgets
- Create and submit monthly forecast and variance analysis
- Reallocation of costs to appropriate cost centers
- Develop strategies that work to minimize financial risk
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Work closely with business operations leaders, finance, accounting, HQ, and other logistics members to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
- Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities
- Responsible for driving continuous process improvements as related to financial management and reporting
- Develop and maintain executive decks of the mobile logistics financial performance
- Ad-Hoc Projects
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related (essential)
- Minimum 5 years in financial planning & analysis, accounting, corporate finance, or other related fields
- Results driven and ability to handle multiple projects
- Profound interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of the company
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and presentation skills with an ability to lead meetings and prepare presentations with internal & external stakeholders
- High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint
- Korean bilingual preferred
- Experience in a logistics supply chain (operations) environment preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred
