About the Job
The Financial Analyst will support Beta Technologies' financial health through planning and budgeting, integrated financial planning, management and performance reporting, and forecasting and modeling. The analyst will apply FP&A solutions to enhance the finance team's ability to update the company's operating model, maintain a partnership with team leads, and create internal and externally viewed presentations. The ideal candidate will be a driven problem solver with the ability to work in a dynamic, undefined, fast-paced environment.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Maintain and update the company's operating model using Adaptive (forecasting software)
- Partner with team leads and TeamOps to understand headcount, non-recurring engineering, other budgeting, and capital expenditure needs, including preparation and distribution of variance analysis
- Provide transactional and due diligence support of corporate M&A activities and capital raises (debt & equity)
- Prepare presentation materials (and supporting analyses and models) for regular leadership reviews, including Executive Team and Board of Directors' presentations
- Work closely with the accounting and operations teams to understand activity and communicate key points to team leads and leadership
- Identify and drive process improvements and productivity enhancements by developing dynamic reporting/forecasting tools and driving the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (advanced formula writing, complex charts and graphs), Google Slides, PowerPoint
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (accruals, revenue recognition, etc) and Non-GAAP metrics (EBITDA, Adjusted Earnings)
- Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize and to manage multiple ongoing work streams
- Strong communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills
- BS in Finance or Accounting (or a similar business field)
Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
- In-depth knowledge of ERP Systems (PLEX) and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting software (Adaptive)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Periodic extended working hours (especially around the time of board meetings)
- Occasional work with incomplete information and ambiguity
- Ability to operate autonomously in an area which is still developing processes and procedures
- High-paced environment and ability to adjust focus quickly
