Financial Analyst I - Fortive Corporation

Responsibilities:
Primarily support the FP&A Director and the CFO, including partnership opportunities with other business leaders. This position provides tremendous opportunities for growth, learning and benefiting others.
• Assisting in the communication of the operating company’s financial performance, plan, and targets to various levels of the organization.
• Investigating and analyzing monthly variances to the forecast, plan, prior period, and prior year as required.
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis for strategic and operational initiatives.
• Working with the functional managers and site-level financial teams to develop monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Partnering with business leaders on strategic planning and key initiatives.
• Learning as needed and applying FBS (Fortive Business System) for continuous improvements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in problem solving.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling or data analytics skilled skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships in a team environment.
• Strong eye for business.
• Intellectual curiosity.
• Motivation for continuous improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in business results reporting, forecasting, and planning.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Government accounting knowledge preferred.
• Basic understanding of database structure and datamining.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or similar field.
• 2 - 5 years of FP&A or analyst experience.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 54,100.00 - 100,500.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
