Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our accounting and finance team. Responsibilities for this position include supporting daily AP transactions, payroll, credit card expense tracking and management, activities to support month-end close, and reporting support.
The analyst will be expected to collaborate across other SBUs within the business to ensure financial discipline throughout the organization, and accurate cost accounting in the business. We expect this position to have a direct impact on streamlining processes and ensuring fluid operations that contribute to the financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable: Handle day-to-day activities related to accounts payable, ensuring timely processing and payment.
Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records in ERP and other related data management tools such as excel.
Expense Management: Review employee expenses and ensure property approval and coding on each expense.
Month-End Closings: Assist in the preparation of month-end financial close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with generating financial reports as required, such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports.
- Financial Analysis: Support meaningful business health reporting via financial reports and/or other business systems.
Human Resources: Execute weekly payroll and administrative support for human resource function.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulation and proactively enhances processes to strengthen internal controls where possible.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Finance Director.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or issues.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions in financial processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Experience with ERP systems or advanced accounting software.
