Responsibilities:
• Hands-on position that is responsible for assimilating and reporting financial regulatory information for assigned states from 50+ profit centers representing 21 property and casualty insurance legal entities. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, processing invoices for payment, processing and responding to correspondence from regulatory agencies and effectively communicating with profit centers across the organization. Reports directly to the Director of Regulatory Reporting.
• Responsible for the organization’s premium by broker reporting.
• Assist other areas within the organization by providing accounting and analytical support and assistance, as needed.
• This is an individual contributor role.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate with 50+ profit centers to prepare and gather financial information to timely and accurately file regulatory state forms for 21 legal entities in assigned states and U.S. territories to include processing payments when required.
• Process and approve assigned invoices for timely and accurate payment of regulatory fees, assessments, surcharges, and other invoices.
• Maintain listing of deliverables, invoices, and other correspondence; track due dates; and report progress to the Director of Regulatory Reporting.
• Assist with the completion of premium tax returns as requested.
• Maintain effective workflow processes to accomplish objectives of the position.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• 2-4 years of insurance background (state/regulatory reporting)
Education Requirement
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from four-year university preferred or 2-year degree with insurance reporting experience.
• Two years of property and casualty insurance experience preferred.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Hyperion and Essbase reporting with the ability to analyze results. Premium Pro and WINGS experience a plus.
