POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst is an integral member of the Accounting team, supporting the Controller with month-end closing, financial reporting and analysis, inventory management, audit, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Financial Analyst is an integral member of the Accounting team, supporting the Controller with month-end closing, financial reporting and analysis, inventory management, audit, compliance, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare month-end close for inventory and cost of goods sold in collaboration with the Controller.
- Coordinate and participate in inventory cycle counts and year-end valuation for audit.
- Research inventory discrepancies, determine causes, and implement mitigating solutions.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting records to ensure accurate tracking of production costs and inventory.
- Implement and manage employee expense program for credit card and reimbursable expenses.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company’s financial health and performance.
- Support the Controller through the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks to meet the deadline.
- Prepare account reconciliations and analyze results, resolving any discovered issues.
- Assist with annual audit.
- Support regulatory reporting for sales & use tax, federal excise tax, 1099 reporting, etc.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Identify areas of opportunity to standardize, simplify, and streamline processes, aligning with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present clear, concise financial reports to executive management, highlighting financial trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather insights, support decision-making, and drive financial best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate and analyze revenue, operating expenses, product profitability, capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High professional integrity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
