Financial Analyst - G L Homes of Florida Corporation

Position Summary:

As Financial Analyst, responsibilities include analyzing past and present financial data and estimating future revenues and expenditures, applying principles of finance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical, current and projected financial and operational information from various departments with the goal of delivering actionable recommendations for improvement to operations and establishing a basis for future projections.
• Prepare monthly community profitability projections for ongoing projects.
• Monthly budget analysis, reporting and management.
• Communicate and work with other operational departments on various financial and operational issues.
• Create presentations that enable Executive Management to make strategic decisions to meet business goals.
• Provide analytical support on projects and ad-hoc requests that span across business functions.
• Other ad hoc analysis or related duties as requested by management.

Education & Experience:

• Ideal candidate must possess a four-year degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Note: if degree is in Finance, candidate must have a working knowledge of accounting practices.

Skills & Abilities:

• Must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient in developing forecasting excel models.
• Must have the ability to understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
• Forward thinking with a holistic approach to analyze the effect of changes.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and when necessary, shift priorities quickly.
• Strong understanding of working Systems.
• Strong organizational skills and follow through.
• Detail oriented with a high-level of accuracy
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels throughout organization
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to meet deadlines and provide complete product in professional and presentable format
