Financial Counselor at TEKsystems

Description:

Verifies patient health insurance coverage and obtains authorization for inpatient hospital admissions

Estimates deposit requirements and communicates with patient/family re: estimated patient financial liability

Tracks 3808 authorization and billing process, coordinates the long-term care application process

Verifies all Medicaid patient’s eligibility daily

Performs registration function for inpatient admissions in EPIC

Obtains patient consents for inpatient admission

Must have high school diploma or higher

Ideal candidate will have 3+ years working within a Financial Counselor, Eligibility, Authorization, billing role

Must come from an in-patient/ hospital side

Medicaid experience is a PLUS

EPIC experience is a PLUS

Must have strong computer/communication skills-- will be using word, outlook, basic excel daily
