Financial Counselor/Insurance Verification Specialist- Philadelphia, PA
Location : 1331 E. Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124
Project Duration : 3+ Months Contract (With extension)

Shift Information: Days Only

Job Summary
This is a financial counseling position, but they will mainly be doing insurance verification.
Provides financial, credit, debt management counseling, and education services to patients. Utilizes alternative means for obtaining coverage for uninsured or underinsured patients. Responsible for performing complex insurance verification and eligibility determinations as well as varied administrative and highly responsible clerical functions of a sensitive nature, including complex investigative and problem-solving activities in support of minimizing the hospital's bad debt risk.

**The manager is looking for someone who is flexible and willing to participate in any projects where we may need their assistance**

Requirements

• Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Experience 2 Years’ experience as a financial counselor or related role in a healthcare environment (Required)
• 5 Years’ experience in a clerical role (Required)
• General Experience and knowledge of hospital registration and third party billing and regulations. (Required)
• General Experience in bi-lingual Spanish and English communication (Preferred)
• Insurance verification and registration experience (Hospital)
