Financial Decision Support Analyst

Full-Time
Financial Decision Support Analyst candidates will have the following job responsibilities:
- The Financial Decision Support Analyst will help achieve financial and operational goals through preparation of operating and capital budgets and by analyzing business aspects of the organization (e.g., product costs, segment profitability, revenue enhancement, and opportunity cost/benefit analysis.)

- Assist with the capital asset budget process on an annual basis
- Responsible for periodic productivity (Optix) reporting and follow up
- Help organize the organization's operating budget on an annual or other periodic basis
- Coordinate the availability of the operating budget software based on budget timelines developed
- Maintain user-security within the budget and reporting software, report format and development, GL accounting codes, and other updates as needed
- Collaborate with managers in developing, establishing, and managing operational budgets including variance analysis and issue resolution
- Assist in the organization's financial planning (e.g., forecasts, feasibility analysis, business plans, and financial analysis)
- Assist with monthly preparation of financial statements and provide timely and accurate analysis of financial and operation performance to management
- Assist with monthly reviews of operational results with functional area leaders to ensure compliance with established budgets and measure progress against company goals
- Assist with evaluating the appropriateness and application of direct and indirect cost assignments and maintain periodic cost accounting update cycles to maintain established costing methodology within the cost accounting software
- Develop periodic performance information on labor, cost, reimbursement, and/or profitability by utilizing the decision support/cost accounting software
- Perform ongoing performance analysis of existing service lines
- Partner with leadership and internal customers to develop financial analysis of proposed programs by building performance, revenue, and cost models
- Perform analysis of the impact on service/product lines or other segments of business due to process changes, reimbursement, or cost
- Coordinate and prepare cost reimbursement reports for Medicare and Medicaid to obtain reimbursement within full compliance of federal and state regulations and organizational policies and procedures
- Prepare written and oral reports as needed to provide direction and recommendations
- Identify problems, conclusions, status reports, and updates

- Portion of job duties involve the application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity (e.g., typing on computer keyboard, using a 10-key calculator, etc.)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-
Financial Decision Support Analyst

Financial Decision Support Analyst candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- • Excellent oral, written, and organization skills
- • Five (5) years' experience in FP&A, accounting, or finance
- • BS Degree in accounting, business, health administration, or a related field
- • Experience with healthcare budgeting, cost accounting, or financial analysis
- • Must have the personal integrity, flexibility, and ability to work effectively with other personnel to accomplish divisional goals
- • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a variety of computer systems including ERP, budget, and cost accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
- • MBA or CPA certification
- • 2 years' experience with hospital Medicare cost report preparation
- • Five (5) years' experience in FP&A, accounting, or finance within a healthcare setting
- Candidate must complete and submit assessments in attachments with resume
- 5 years' experience in FP&A, accounting, or finance (expert in finance)
• Must be able to work efficiently with computer systems including ERP, budget, and cost accounting
• Will be given a skills test before interview
